  • Color, Gloss, Haze: The visual characteristics of a sample can be quantitatively determined using instrumentation for color, haze and gloss measurements.

  • Compression: MPI offers a wide range of standardized and custom compression testing with multiple fixtures and load ranges from 20 lbf to 20,000 lbf.

  • Constituent Content: Constituent content analysis is available for plastics and composites with test methods for ash content, fiber content and void content.

  • Density and Weight: We can provide density and weight determination using an analytical balance with a density apparatus.

  • Impact: Multiple varieties of impact testing are available such as drop dart impact testing, Izod impact testing, un-notched impact testing and instrumented impact testing.

  • Melt Flow: Melt flow by extrusion plastometer can provide melt density, viscosity and volume rate information, as well as flow rate or Melt Flow Index (MFI).

  • Minimum Film Formation Temperature: This instrument allows for the determination of the minimum film formation temperature of a coating.

  • Particle Size: Particle size analysis is available for both wet or dry materials. Materials can be run in water or virtually any other solvent, and particle size measurements are available from 0.01 to 2800 microns.

  • Peel: MPI offers a wide range of standardized and custom peel testing with multiple fixtures and load ranges from 5 gf to 5 kgf.

  • pH Testing and Titration: MPI offers testing such as pH and titration for liquid analysis.

  • Reaction Calorimeter: This instrument is capable of high temperatures with measurement and control of parameters for determination of chemical information and heat balance over the chemical process.

  • Rheology: MPI offers testing in rheology to obtain viscosity information, strain/shear rate information and melt analysis. Multiple configurations are available such as capillary, cone and plate and parallel plate.

  • Shear: MPI offers a wide range of standardized and custom shear testing with multiple fixtures and load ranges from 20 lbf to 20,000 lbf.

  • BYK-Gardner Handheld Color Spectrophotometer: The visual characteristics of a sample can be quantitatively determined using instrumentation for color measurements.

  • BYK Gardner Haze gloss system: The visual characteristics of a sample can be quantitatively determined using instrumentation for haze and gloss measurements.

  • Gardco Types A and D Durometer: MPI can provide hardness measurements in both the Shore A and Shore D durometer scales. These two scales encompass the vast majority of durometer hardness measurements.

  • Instron 5582 Mechanical Testing System: MPI offers a wide range of standardized and custom tensile, compression, flexural, shear, peel and tear testing with multiple fixtures and load ranges from 20 lbf to 20,000 lbf.
